Pastor
Rev. Anastasio "Jun" R. Postrano
We are fortunate to have Fr. Anastacio (Jun) R. Postrano as our Pastor. He began serving in St. Roch Parish on July 1, 2015 as Administrator. On March 25, 2016 Bishop Silva announced that Fr. Jun, until then a priest of the Diocese of Tagum, Philippines, was incardinated into the clergy of the Diocese of Honolulu. At that time Bishop Silva has also changed his status from “Administrator” to “Pastor” of St. Roch Parish, Kahuku. He was installed as our Pastor on May 31, 2016. Fr. Jun’s mother was born on the Big Island and her family returned to the Philippines when she was a child. She married his father there. He is one of 10 children (6 girls and 4 boys). His siblings all live here in Hawaii (Waipahu and the Big Island) and on the Mainland. His parents are deceased. Fr. Jun attended college and the seminary in the Philippines. He was ordained in the Philippines on June 15, 1984. After serving many years in the Philippines, Fr. Jun spent 13 years on the Big Island in three parishes, Our Lady of Lourdes in Honokaa, St. Michael in Kailua-Kona, and St. Benedict in South Kona. He then returned to the Philippines for eight years before coming back to Hawaii (Oahu) in 2015. Welcome back to Hawaii, Fr. Jun. |
