Covid Protocol from the Diocese

7/5/2020

On behalf of Bishop Larry Silva and  Father Jun, we are happy to report our church will be partially re-opening for our first mass on Saturday, May 30 at 5 PM.  Besides this mass, we will have our regular Sunday mass at 7:30 AM and  a second Sunday mass at 9:30 AM , all to be held in Saint Roch Church.  The 7:30 am Mass will continue to be live streamed for anyone that cannot attend.

We have many guidelines to follow. We will post all the information on this  Saint Roch website and our Facebook page as we get it.  If you know anyone that does not  have access to Facebook or the page, let them know they can pick up a copy of the guidelines at the office this week from Tuesday through Friday 8 AM to 12 PM.

Most important to mention at this time, is that seating will be limited at each mass. We are requesting that you choose the mass that you would like to commit to each week and let us know your choice. Once you choose, that will be your mass for the duration , until things get back to normal.

How do you choose your mass? Please call Kay at the office Tuesday through Friday this week , 8am to 12 noon, at 293-5026 or from 12 PM to 5 PM you may call Nancy Manuel at  808- 989-8933.  Give them your name, your email address if you have one, phone number, and how many in your household will attend at this time. At that time, you can also ask any questions and someone will try to give you a call back once they have the answers. Just a few things to mention, masks will be mandatory.  You cannot attend the mass without a mask.  We request that you bring a towel to cover each seat you’ll be using and remove the towel when the mass is ended.  If possible, please bring your own hand sanitizer and personal missal if you wish ,  as ours will not be available. Also, important to mention, please do not come to the church if you’re not feeling well out of concern for safety of others.  If you come and appear to be ill, we cannot allow you in the church.

These strict guidelines are coming from the Diocese of Honolulu. Once you attend your first mass, we will attempt to go over some things with you. We ask that you be patient as this is a new experience for all of us.   We are in need of volunteers to be ushers and assistance in cleaning and sanitizing between masses. Donations of any cleaning supplies if you have extra such as hand sanitizers disinfectant spray like Lysol and gloves would be greatly appreciated . Again, the most important is your call to reserve your place at mass. We look forward to seeing you in person.
